NEED INFO ABOUT YOUR BUCKS COUNTY DUI?
You are probably here because you or a loved one was recently charged with driving under the influence (DUI) in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and you are looking for information. This website will give you an overview on what you should know about a DUI charge in Bucks County. I can personally complete your education with a free no-obligation in-office consultation. What do you have to lose?
DUI is a criminal charge in Pennsylvania and if you are convicted (even if it is your first offense), there is a strong possibility that you will spend time in the Bucks County prison. I know its a shocker! In most cases, DUI penalties in Pennsylvania require mandatory jail time, and that often includes first offenses. I am not trying to scare you, but I must tell you the truth, the whole truth, about what you will probably be facing. You may also be worried about your driver's license, which may affect your job. A criminal record could hurt your career and get you fired. Your name may also be published in the newspaper.
FIRST OFFENDER'S PROGRAM FOR YOU?
If this is your first DUI offense, you may be eligible for the first offender's program, also known as ARD (Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition). The ARD program is not automatic and there are many factors that could prevent you from being admitted to the program. Set up a free in-office consultation with me and I will give you my straight-forward opinion as to your chances of acceptance into ARD. With your help, I can present you in your best light to the Bucks County District Attorney's ARD Department for your best chance for acceptance into the ARD program.
LOOKING FOR HOUSE ARREST OR WORK RELEASE?
If this is your 2nd or 3rd DUI offense in the last ten years, you are facing serious jail time (a minimum of five days and up to five or more years in jail). The Bucks County ARD program is not available for repeat DUI offenders. Instead, you may be eligible for House Arrest, Work Release or other similar types of programs. If your matter does not result in a DUI trial, you will have to present yourself at a DUI sentencing hearing in front of a Bucks County Common Pleas Court judge. The sentencing judge may not be sympathetic towards you and your case. It is highly advisable to be legally counseled throughout your case by a local Bucks County DUI attorney.
Bucks County police officers have consistently made about 3,500 DUI arrests per year. Among the counties in Pennsylvania, Bucks County had the second highest number of DUI arrests. The Bucks County Common Pleas Court judges and the District Attorneys are known to be strict with DUI defendants and DUI penalties.
