License Suspension
Driver’s license suspensions occur frequently in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

If a Bucks County driver’s license is to be suspended by PennDot, a written notice will be mailed to the Bucks County driver informing him or her of the date when the suspension will take effect.

The Bucks County driver’s license must then be returned to PennDot by the date of the suspension or the State Police, local Bucks County police or other applicable authorities may be notified to pick up the license.

Once the Bucks County driver’s privileges are capable of being restored, the suspended driver is responsible for paying the appropriate restoration fee before his or her PA driver’s license will be returned.

When driving privileges are finally restored to the Bucks County driver, the driver’s record will show 5 points.

A suspended driver’s license notice from PennDot may be appealed to the Bucks County Common Pleas Court in Doylestown, PA. This Bucks County driver’s license suspension appeal must be filed within 30 days after mailing of the notice.
